European Union's General Data Protection Rules (GDPR)

In the opening case this week, Yahoo was fined over 117 million dollars for one of the worst data hacks in history. As a result of things like this, European countries have cracked down on the information that businesses can gather and store on their customers. The GDPR rule has been used against quite a few companies to date, collecting millions of dollars from them.

Your job this week is to read at least two (2) academically reviewed articles on this subject and report on a company that was affected by the GDPR rule. (Wikipedia articles will not be accepted. Professor may check originality of all posts. Avoid copy-and-paste.
