The world is rapidly changing and evolving, and organizations are looking for leaders who can adapt quickly and deliver results for themselves and the team members. Leaders must provide opportunities for individuals to develop their leadership skills.

In this assignment, you will create a 3 to 5 minutes audiovisual presentation summarizing the four propositions of effective leadership development, analyzing the pros and cons of the propositions, and comparing them to other leadership development practices from new and relevant peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles.

Prepare a presentation to analyze how leaders can adapt quickly to deliver results for themselves and team members.

Step I: Examine

Examine the four propositions from Soria & Johnson (2020) and other recent peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles on effective leadership development practices.

Step II: Select

Select a digital tool to create your audiovisual presentation with supporting slides or other visuals and a recorded narration. Use the tool of your choice or one from the Presentation Tools in the ACE Digital Tools Center.

Step III: Develop

Develop 5-7 content slides or other visuals comparing and contrasting the four propositions and other effective leadership development practices. Provide specific examples of each proposition and other practices.

The presentation should also demonstrate the pros and cons of each practice and how they can improve leadership development. Use APA format for all presentation elements, including the title and reference slides.

A best practice is to compose a script or talking points to use while recording the narration, but you will not read the script verbatim so that you may speak naturally.

Step IV: Practice and Record

Practice your presentation and record it using the tool you selected in Step 2.

Step V: Submit

Submit your audiovisual presentation to the assignment using the appropriate assignment submission type (i.e., File Upload, Web URL, or Text Entry) for your product. (ACE recommends Kaltura for submitting video assignments regardless of the recording tool.)
