This is a primary source (first-hand account) explaining some of the experiences from the first year in Plymouth. William Bradford came over on the Mayflower and was instrumental in the writing of the Mayflower Compact. He was appointed Governor of the Plymouth Colony and served in that capacity for 30 years.
