Case Study: Observe and describe in detail, using objective language, an instance of conflict management you believe to be handled effectively by the teacher or parent. You may observe a child in your current professional EC setting. You may use a local ECE center as a resource, following their protocol for on-site observations. You may observe a friend's or family member's young child (you may not observe your own children). If you do not have access to an ECE setting, you may use the video "Focused Observations" (Redleaf Press, 2015) to respond to the situation presented. If you are able to conduct a field-based observation, note that you will still need to review the video to respond fully to the prompts that follow:
