Question: Summarize the history and evolution of programming languages including paradigms in current use.
This is a very different discussion than our previous ones. It's worth 15 points rather than 5, because I expect you to write a fair amount of commentary--at least two paragraphs. I do not expect a complete history of programming languages; that would fill several books! You will need to do some research on this topic; Wikipedia is your friend. Added on 5 May 2023: You must cite the sources you use in your research.
Also, unlike our previous discussions, I will not require you to post twice or respond to other students' posts. You can respond if you want, but you don't have to.
Note: A paradigm is a way of thinking about programming. Two of the most important are:
Functional programming (FP) - it is based on the idea of creating methods/functions, and data flows from one function to the next.Object-Oriented Programming - it is based on objects/classes; this is what Java uses.
