Case: Choose "Genesis" for the first one and choose "Psalms" for the second one.

This will show you a visual of how many similar phrases are found between the book of Genesis and the book of Psalms.

Try changing the second one to some other books of the Bible and pressing 'Update' to see those results.

Now change the first one to 'Psalms' and change the second one to books from the New Testament.

Feel free to try a few others.

Now that you have some experience seeing some of these connections, let's look at some cross-references.

Look up Psalm 104 at BlueLetterBible.

Choose the 'Tools' button to the left of each verse and identify the 'Cross-Refs' tab.

Click the 'Cross-Refs' tab and look at the 'Correlating Verses' which show up in the window.

You should see the verse references just below the verse you selected, but if you scroll down further, each of those verses is provided in full so you can read and analyze them.

You will have to judge and discern what relevance, if any, a particular cross-reference has to Psalm 104. Which ones appear to be "literary pickups" (that is, verses or passages the author of Psalm 104 may have been using as inspiration for composing the Psalm)? Hint: The more cross-references target the same passage, say, Genesis 1, the more likely it is that Genesis 1 was used as inspiration for writing the Psalm.

Look up a few more cross-references in Psalm 104 and see what you notice.

Now conduct the same type of analysis of the passage you will be using for your Three Worlds Paper.

Type in the verses to the search at the top of BlueLetterBible.

Use the 'Tools' button > 'Cross-Refs' tab to do your analysis.

Jot down notes and thoughts as you do your research on the cross-references showing up for your passage.

A list of five verses which showed up as cross-references for your passage, typed out and with underlines beneath the words or phrases that connect with your passage. (e.g., 1 Cor. 13:12 "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face").
