Political Philosophy

Another problem with Mill's idea of democracy is that he never thought about the effect that money has on the voting process, or the effect of money on the media, and the media's effect on our votes. Do you think that democracy is fundamentally flawed (as Plato said), or that intelligent choices will prevail over marketing forces, or can you offer another suggestion for limiting the influence of marketing on the voters?
