Question - CASE STUDY - "THE PROBLEMATIC CASHIER" Rose is a long time cashier of Mrs. Suarez in their family business, a hardware store. She has been trusted for 6 years.
The past 3 months, Rose has been problematic as she needs around Php 75,000 for a medical procedure to be done on her mother. Her savings was only Php 30,000.
Suarez would close the shutters and count the money to The Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Suarez had an evening appointment.
At the close of each day, 8pm, Rose and Mrs. the next day, keeping it in a secret vault.
She asked Rose to just count the money and place it in the vault before she closed the store.
The sales that day was Php 56,000. Rose placed cut-out papers in the remittance envelope and pocketed the entire sales, closed the store and never turned up for work the next day, until she officially went on AWOL.
