Your patient, Ms Sanchez, has suffered a traumatic brain injury that severely damaged her visual cortex, leaving her cortically blind. No other part of her visual system has been compromised. Do you expect Ms Sanchez will still exhibit circadian entrainment from light/dark cycles despite not being able to consciously tell if it is day or night? Use the evidence from animals we discussed in class to justify your answer. Be specific about the neuroanatomical structures required to for the use of light/dark cycles as zeitgebers (7).
