Question

There are many factors that contribute to successful illicit trafficking networks in source and transit nations. Some these factors are the fact that these criminal organizations have become very powerful throughout their local communities, along with an extensive amount of influence towards their local governments. These criminal organizations have a history of targeting their local governments first in order to knock down whatever policies the government passes that can tarnish the networks they are trying to open or continue. Also, most of these factors go into what was discussed in last week's assignment. Cooperation between criminals and terrorist groups can contribute to making these trafficking networks successful as well. The main objectives in their operations are power and intimidation, in order to achieve that they have to mainly meet their financial goals, and gain more followers.
