There are long standing by-laws in place at Centerville Psychiatric, they are a structured network with several different branches and physicians. The network is functioning smoothly, physicians and administration oppose changes due to clinical and financial reasons. Dr Zock could be excluded on the grounds of causing conflict between other physicians and administration. Dr Zocks credentialing does not entitle him to behave outside the by-laws. This decision could be based on Economical criteria because if the network loses physicians because of changes then they may lose their patients also. This would cause the network to lose funding. There would also be an increase of managed care insurance because the drug therapy cost more than counseling. It would be tough for one physician to request change of the laws and by-laws. Dr Zock would have to have other physicians who agreed with his criteria and the administration board would have to consider a approval. Dr Zock wants to change to help preserve his autonomy, although to be able to accomplish this he would have to extend his credentialing from a Phd. to a MD.
