Assessment - The Shaping of the Tourism Industry
The purpose of this assessment is for students to demonstrate an in- depth?knowledge and understanding of the structure, scope and main functions of the contemporary tourism industry and its key stakeholders.
The topics covered in this assessment are:
• Topic 2 Structure and Scope of the Tourism Industry
• Topic 3 Development of the Tourism Industry
• Topic 4 Stakeholders of the Tourism Industry
Students will be required to draw upon the information in these three topics and compare and contrast the Australian destination approach to tourism to those of international destinations. This will incorporate the relationship between segments, links to specialist tourism areas and the focus of sustainable tourism.
This assessment is an individual written assessment in report style.??
Your submitted essay should demonstrate your ability to understand and report on the shaping of the tourism industry.? This will include destination management incorporating culture, resourcing abilities, industry leadership, local government and the relevance of tourism to local economies.
