Design the following steel building using the latest of the AISC specifications. The following apply:
1.) The building is suggested to be built with 5 steel trusses as shown. 2.) A572 grade 50 steel
3.) Concrete footing is 6 ft x 6 ft and fc' = 4 ksi
4.) Dead load on roof is 40 psf, and live load, including wind effect, on roof is 80 psf
5.) Trusses are made of double angle sections
6.) Columns and beams are W sections
7.) Base plates is made of A36 steel
8.) Design calculations should include
• Truss members
• Purlins
• Beams
• Columns
• Base plates
9.) Show complete steel detailing
10.) Use elastic design theory, and disregard any load that is not given
11.) If necessary, make appropriate assumptions
