Your company has a strict rule on falsification. Falsification is a terminable offense and requires all employees to take a minimum 30 minute lunch break in the middle of their shift. An employee needs to get off early to take his wife to the doctor so he works very hard to get all his work done. He punches out for 30 minutes for lunch but continues to work every minute of his lunch to ensure he can finish early to take his wife to the doctor. He finishes his work at 14:45 but would like to get paid the 30 minutes he worked during break therefore he writes on his time card he left at 15:15 (instead of 14:45). Another employee notices the time card and brings it to your attention. This employee has been with the company for 15 years and is one of your best and hardest working employees.
