Tom Brown is a retired computer programmer. He is 64 years old, and just started a strengthening and conditioning workout program at his local community senior center. Since he retired one year ago, he has spent his days gardening each and every morning for about an hour weeding, planting, digging and carrying moderate loads at a moderate intensity. He also goes for a light jog with his wife and his dog for about 40 minutes every evening after dinner. He used to smoke cigarettes, but quit smoking 5 months ago. He takes simvastatin every day. His mother was diagnosed with type II diabetes at 65 years, but is still alive. His father had a coronary stent at 53 years, and he is still alive. He just went to the doctor after experiencing occasional cramping and pain in his left leg especially during walk with his dog.And he found out the following information: Resting Blood Pressure: 135/70 mmHg Body weight: 240 lbs Resting Heart Rate: 65 bpm Height: 6'1'' Total Cholesterol: 195 mg/dL HDL: 62 mg/dL LDL: 126 mg/dL HbA1C: 6.4% Based on the case above, a risk factor for family history is: posive present, negative prensent, abolute neutral.
