Overall, I believe AACU did a good job with outlining their strategic plan and aligning key activities under each. For the sake of my discussion, I will address each objective and its key activities separately. Under "sustain an association prepared to thrive and champion liberal education globally", I can respect the inclusivity that AACU is leaning toward with "Integrate work and communities" key activity. I wouldn't remove anything, but rather enhance by simply mentioning specific areas requiring integration or labeling what types of offerings to invigorate. In the military, we use an electronic feedback form and evaluation report to document performance, standards and expectations, so, under "assess engagements", I would specify the metrics and methods to be used for evaluation. I understand that implementing workplace policies and practices that support the physical, emotional, and mental wellness of AAC&U's employees are important but does this include fostering a zero tolerance policy as well? if not, I would change it to read as such.
I appreciate the Create a model for institutional transformation on campuses key activity because I believe it will set the tone for "who AACU is and what the desire to be". I wouldn't change anything but I would test the experiment on the students and faculty to ensure i have the correct goal in mind and its SMART.
The "partner with educators and institutions to transform the student learning experience" needs to be modified to better illustrate the initiatives set forth to eliminate any barriers and inequalities students have face or are facing. Framing sets the tone of no actual manual labor when really there should be opportunities ( to include professional development) and resources implemented and stamped into place.
For face value, the objectives are pretty much spot on and in my opinion, don't need many modifications, just clarifications.
