Kindly assist with recommendations for HP Inc regarding sustainability. The proposal should focus on how to convince the company's management to act on the need to address its sustainability issue to
ensure that the company is positioned for success in the future. The following perspectives should be considered in the recommendations:
Question 1. Inform them of what the key issues that need attention and/or problem(s) that need to besolved. This should include a high-level summary of the key takeaways from your HP's benchmarking and analysis. Use examples to illustrate your points.
Question 2. Provide solutions and/or options for them to consider. For example, if the organization is really lagging the industry/peers, what should the organization focus on and what activities should they undertake to close the gap?
Question 3. Propose where the organization should focus on strategic differentiation related to sustainability.
Would simply being sustainable be enough for the organization to have a competitive edge or does more need to be done? Are there any areas within sustainability where the organization
can and/or should lead? Why or why not?
Question 4. Be creative but pragmatic. When proposing options, ideas, or solutions, you should keep in mind the size of the company, its current financial situation and place in the market, current marketplace trends, its current capabilities, etc. You should also consider the timelines around your proposals. If proposing something ambitious and innovative, it might be more practical to propose this as a multiyear plan or something within the next 3-5 years. If the organization is really lagging, there should be urgency and you should propose solutions that should be worked on immediately or within the next 1-2 years.
Question 5. Transforming businesses to become more sustainable requires convincing people to change their thinking and that they may need to change their current business models and practices. Think about and incorporate different ways you can convince them that your
proposals are the right and best path forward
