A straight bimetallic strip consists of a brass strip and a steel strip, each 1.25 cm wide and 30.5 cm long, welded together. All strip is t = 0.500mm thick. The bimetallic strip is heated uniformly along its length. The strip curves such that the radius of curvature is R =36.9cm. If the temperature before heating is 20 C, what is the temperature of the bimetallic strip? after it is heated?
