#1. What is the difference between stimulation of the right vagus versus the left vagus? How are they connected to the heart? What would you expect to see upon left vagus stimulation?
Overview of Lab Protocol
You will directly record live arterial blood pressure and the rate and relative depth of respiration of the anesthetized rat. Sections of small diameter polyethylene tubing (i.e., cannulas) will be inserted into the left jugular vein (for injecting drugs) and into the right carotid artery (for directly recording the BP). A force-displacement transducer will record the rhythmical chest movements associated with inhalation and exhalation. All data will be recorded via LabScribe.
#2 Suggest at least one additional treatment or related experiment you could do with this preparation. What would you do, what would it test, what might you expect to happen?
Estimate how many photons of light are minimally required to build one glucose molecule in photosynthesis and describe your answer

In a series of two-point map crosses involving five genes located on chromosome second in Drosophila, the following recombinant frequencies were observed:
Explain why would we evolve so that when we are stressed our immune system is suppressed? Discuss how would this increase survival? What is the adaptive value of reflexes?
Two consecutive crosses, with the first between pure-breeding parents that differ in two phenotypes to create an F1 generation, and the second in two F1 progeny to create an F2 generation.
It is not normal to administer a pure drug to a patient. Almost all the drugs are administered in form of a medicine. A medicine is a mixture of one or more drugs combined or formulated with the other inactive materials known as excipients.
Cells have several mechanisms to prevent the production and accumulation of truncated protein fragments. To illustrate why these fragments can be deleterious.
Explain the process of the Meiosis and the Sexual Life Cycles. Eukaryotic cells may divide through the mitosis or meiosis. In humans, mitosis generates new cells for the growth and repair.
What genotypic frequencies are expected at birth in the next generation. How much change has there been in the frequency of the B allele.
The patient lives near the San Luis Rey River and has no history of foreign travel, blood transfusion, or intravenous drug use. What is the disease? How was it obtained.
