Research: Isometric exercise help pain control
Learning Outcome 1: Employ an ability to plan research and analyse research data that informs answers to specific research questions.
Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate a clear, specific and testable research topic that can be realistically addressed with appropriate research methods.
Assessment 1 - Project proposal and data analyses (appendices) 2500 words as per assessment brief.
This assessment is an individual written research proposal which will require students to identify a specific research question and plan a suitable research project to address that question.
Reassessment Task
Students must satisfy the Board of Examiners that they have met the intended learning outcomes of each element of assessment in the unit by undertaking examinations or assignments. The overall pass mark for a unit is 40%. Each element of assessment must achieve a minimum of 35%. All marks are provisional until confirmed by the board of examiners.
The Mitigation Team
If you have a genuine mitigating circumstance that is likely to stop you from completing an assessment, you can apply to the mitigation team by completing a claim form. Decisions will be based upon the extent to which the application meets the mitigating circumstances criteria. You will need to apply before the assessment deadline by completing a mitigating circumstances form. Forms can be printed from SiD online or a hard copy can be collected at the Student Information Desk (SiD). If you apply for mitigation and are successful please inform the Unit coordinator and send the mitigation email to the Unit coordinator.
