Steam enters a steady flow turbine at 30MPa, 1000degC with a flow rate of 10kg/s. Thirty percent of the inlet mass of steam is extracted from the turbine at 10MPa, 500 degrees C. The remainder of steam expands to a saturated vapor at 50kPa. The heat transfer rate from the turbine is 500kW. Changes in kinetic and potential energy of the steam may be neglected. Determine the power that is generated by the turbine.
