Steady-state temperature distribution in a rod with heat generation can be represented by the following differential equation: d^2T/dx^2+[-0.1+0.25sin((pi*x)/5)]T=0 where x = distance along the rod [m] and T is the temperature [K]. Obtain a solution for a 15- meter long rod with T(0) = 250 and T(15) = 400. Solve the problem (a) using the shooting method, (b) using a finite difference approach with deltax = 3 [m] and (c) using a finite difference approach with deltax = 1 [m]. For the finite difference solutions use O(h2) approximations. Plot the temperature distribution for the three solutions on a single figure.
