The element of an electrical heating device is a cylinder with a diameter of 12 mm and a length of 20 cm. The electrical energy is dissipated at a rate of 800 W. The air at 20°C moves in a cross flow over the heater with a velocity of 8 m/s. The thermo physical properties of the cylinder are p(density) = 2800 kg/m3 , cp = 920 J/kg.K, and k = 185 W/m.K. Assuming negligible radiation, determine the steady-state surface temperature of the electrical element.
