Jenkins entered into a contract to sell to Kramer, an ice cream manufacturer, 250 tons of ice per week for the next three years at a set price. After a little over a year, Kramer sold his ice cream company to Smith and assigned to Smith the contract that Kramer had entered into with Jenkins for the sale of the ice.

When Jenkins heard about the sale of the ice cream company and the status of his contract with Kramer, he refused to provide the ice to Smith. Can Smith enforce the contract against Jenkins? Please explain.
