Case: State your thoughts and advice on the situations in the text below?

Personally, I have never been the direct victim of a serious crime. There have been times where somebody has committed a very grave traffic offence in my presence, specifically against me, but I have never been one to have any police reports filed on me nor have I been associated with any crime. However, there was a close family member of mine who was arrested many years ago. He was a new business owner and his business was in painting. He goes with his first ever employee and a city inspector shows up to his truck while they are painting a parking lot and asks for their license to paint in the city. When he found out that he did not have a license, he was arrested and taken to jail. The only real impact of this offence to my uncle was that he had to be bailed out of jail. Going to a larger scale, the economic costs of such a crime in our society is not to be understated. If we did not require licenses for trades in the state of Florida, there would be hundreds more cases of buildings collapsing on people without warning, pipes exploding and concrete just crumbling because the people were not certified to pour it and did it incorrectly. This isn't even to mention all of our asphalt. When people break this law and work without a license in their trade, it is putting other people in danger and avoiding thousands in taxes. Now, I am not going to disclose my personal opinion on tax evasion, but let me just say there are worse things and taxation is theft. The main factor in measuring the economic cost in this crime is the missed out tax dollars for the government to spend on things like our Glorious Military and social programs.
