Consider the following two scenarios: Group A used 500 moles of styrene and 0.1 moles of benzoyl peroxide while Group B used the same amount of benzoyl peroxide as Group A but used less styrene,150 moles. What would the average molecular weight of each group's polymer sample be?
A couple of notes: The MW of styrene is 104 g/mol and all atoms in the monomer are incorporated into the polymer (no leaving group in the rxn). Also you can ignore the MW of the initiator at the beginning of the chain since it is so small compared to the rest of the polymer chain.
