There is a relatively constant amount of carbon-14 in living (breathing) things on Earth. If the activity is 13.6 cpm/g for living things, and the activity of a sample of remnants of anancient fire in a cave in Africais found to be 3.1 cpm/g, what is the estimate of the age of the remnants?
