Use slater's rules to determine the effective nuclear charges for a 6s electron and a 5d electron in bothe hafnium and mercury

To carry out the calculations in the previous problem, one assumed that the 4f electrons have a sheilding of 1.00. This is not quite true, as f electrons re quite lousy at shielding, so they are not completely shield the 5d and 6s electrons despite their lower pricipal quantum number. What will be the effect of f electrons not sheilding completely on the size and ionization of energy of mercury? Use calculations for illustration if needed
