My assignment is about a research proposal of my own chosen subject. Mine is: (an evaluation of the nurse to patient ratio for the registered nurses working in stroke wards in Australian hospitals and it's impact on patient's risk of morbidity and mortality) (2000 words) Details:

METHODOLOGY: state the research approach to investigate the issue (either a quantitative or qualitative methodology) and justify the appropriateness of the chosen method.

STUDY DESIGN: how you'll conduct the research and justify the appropriateness of the design. STUDY POPULATION AND SAMPLE: who you will be investigating and the sample size of the population. Specify strategies and sample technique for accessing and recruiting the target population.

DATA COLLECTION: identify the method to collect the information from your population and justify the appropriateness of your chosen method in relation to the methodology and the design and the research question.

DATA ANALYSIS: how you will chose to analyse the data specific to your selected methodology to answer your research question

STUDY CONDUCT AND RIGOUR: what are the measures employed to ensure trustworthiness (qualitative research) or reliability and data validity (quantitative research).

ETHICAL ISSUES: consider the concepts that will describe and ensure rigour for qualitative research or reliability and validity for quantitative research depending on the methodology and design. Identify potential ethical issues arising that may impact on your population.

TIMELINE: formulate a research plan that reflects the proposed steps of the research, elements and time frames for these steps. Demonstrate the timeline with the use of a Gantt chart.
