The average number of weeks that banner ads run at a Web site is estimated to be 5.5. You want to check the accuracy of this estimate.

A sample of 50 ads reveals a sample average of 5.1 weeks with a sample standard deviation of 2.3 weeks. State the null and alternative hypotheses and carry out the test at the 5% level of significance.
