The freezing point depression constant, Kf, for water is 1.86?C/m. Suppose that 5.00 g of mercury(I) nitrate was dissolved in 100.0 g of water. What would be the freezing point if the formula were HgNO3. How about if it were the actual formula, Hg2(NO3)2? Give your answers to three decimal places. Keep in mind that the molality is the total moles of ions per kilogram solvent.
