Gas Chromotography/ Orange oil experiment. Limonene (L) and internal Standard Anisole (A) Were used and needed to find the Wt% of L in a given orange oil sample.
In this experiment, a sample of cold-presses Valencia orange oil in n-hexane would be analyzed for it's limonene conetent.
The eperiments states that the solutions in this analysis require special care to avoid loses. The solvent n-hexane has a very low boiling point (69 C) L and A are both viotile.
What would happen if:
The n-hexane that the staff person used to prepare the L standard and the A standard for the Monday labs contained some n-pentane,but the n-hexane used to prepare the O (unknow) solution was pure?
Draw the structure of phosphatidylethanolamine containing one lauric and one palmitoleic fatty acid. Show the ionic form expected at pH7.
Predict the likely mode of decay for the following isotopes used as imaging agents in nuclear medicine (choose all likely modes od decay- can have multiple answers for each and may be used multiple times):
A Be3+ ion emitts a photon with a frequency of 4.68 × 1016 Hz. If the energy of the initial state of the Be3+ ion was -3.88 × 10(-18) J, calculate the energy of the final state. Express answer in scientific notation.
Which metal hydroxide will precipate first? Why? Ksp Ni(OH)2 = 6.0x10-16 Ksp Ce(OH)3 = 6.0x10-22 Ksp Cu(OH)2 = 4.8x10-20

If you fill the larger tank with oxygen to a pressure of 135 , to what pressure should you fill the acetylene tank to ensure that you run out of each gas at the same time? Assume ideal behavior for all gases.
A gaseous system undergoes a change in temperature and volume. What is the entropy change for a particle in this system if the final number of microstates is 0.617 times that of the initial number of microstates?
To a sample of alkaline earth metal carbonate (MCO3; 0.250 g) was added 30.0 mL HCl (0.250 mL). Carbon dioxide gas evolved out from the solution. After the reaction was completed.
