(a) Suppose that N2 gas may be described as van der waals gas. This gas (n=1.25 mol) is expanded isothermally and reversibly from a volume of 1 liter to 10 liters at 300K. (b=0.0387 L/mol and a=1.7 L^2bar/mol) Compute the work done. Is the magnitude of the work larger or smaller than that for an ideal undergoing the same process? Justify your answer with complete sentences.

(b) Is this the maximum amount of work possible for the system, yes, no or can not be determined? Justify your answer. Be complete with any argument you make.
