2. A white, crystalline solid dissolved in water forming a pale blue solution. A precipitate resulted when the solution was treated with 6M sodium hydroxide. The precipitate dissolved in ammonia, giving a royal blue solution. A second portion of the solid was dissolved in water. Treatment of a portion of that solution with silver nitrate resulted in a white precipitate. The precipitate dissolved in ammonia. Identify the origional salt, giving its chemical formula. Explain your resoning briefly.
