Knowledge and understanding outcomes:

Understand different industrial sectors using the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)

Understand factors that determine business location both within the UK and internationally

Learning Outcomes:

Research an organisation and evaluate its current location and justify a change to its location if necessary.

TV presentation

Work with a partner. Prepare a 10 minute news presentation considering the relocation of your 2 businesses. You should identify the different industrial sectors using the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) and include a stakeholder analysis for each business.

Submit prompt notes and presentation slides.

You will be given the opportunity to practice your presentations and receive formative verbal feedback week beginning 24th November.

You final presentation will be delivered to staff and students and may be video recorded.

Tips:

Your presentation should be visually appealing. You may want to include interviews, video bytes, graphics, music etc. As you are ‘on TV' you will not be able to interact directly with your audience, but you should present direct to them (good eye contact, confident body language).
