Question

A planet has a thin, stable atmosphere whose density as a function of height above the surface is described by ρ(r) = ρ0 1 + r r0 r ≤ H and ρ(r) = 0 r > H where ρ0 is the density of the atmosphere at the surface, r0 is a constant, and H the altitude where the pressure drops to zero (H is much, much less than the radius of the planet). What is H in terms of g, ρ0, r0, and the pressure at the surface?
