Problem- Ok so I am doing an experiment in physical chemistry to calibrate a self built makeshift spectrophotometer in order to compare the absorbance and thereby concentration of two different dyes by plotting the drops of ink I added to a n increasingly concentrated solution against the voltage (relating this to the intensity) reading of a photodiode, then the lab asks me to perform thin layer chromatography using TLC cards on pure samples of both ink and why this should aid with my experiment as well as asks me why this should aid me a lot. I can't think of why or how?
Please illustrate work if possible thanks
