Write a summary (5 pages or less) and make a presentation to the class on the topic listed below. You will receive one grade for the paper and one for the presentation.

The paper must be in your own words, with references properly cited. The paper must be turned in the class period before the presentation, and a copy must be made available for your classmates at that time. The paper will be graded using the Written Communication Rubric, which includes the following performance criteria:

Provide an introduction that grabs the attention of readers.

Organize documents in terms of a few main points or themes.

Choose appropriate illustrations, examples or evidence to support the written documents.

Write appropriately for specified readers in terms of technical content.

Write organized, grammatically correct reports.

The objective of the presentation is to convey to your classmates the information you have learned on your selected topic and to enable them to ask questions. It is important therefore that your talk be well organized and include clear figures and explanations. Powerpoint will be used for the presentation. The presentation must be in your own words, and will not be read from your paper. The presentation will be graded using the following criteria: (1) organization; (2) clarity; (3) completeness; (4) correctness; (5) ability to answer questions.
