Consider a tank connected to a supply line through a valve. The tank, with a volume of 247.5 ft^3, initially contains saturated water vapor at 30 psia. The tank is connected to a large supply line carrying steam at 180 psia, 450F. The valve is opened and 2.9lbm of steam enters the tank. The valve is then closed and the pressure in the tank is 40psia. Determine:
a. Indicate initial state (1), final state (2), and inlet state (i) on a p-v diagram
b. specific volume [ft^3/lbm] at the final state of tank
c. heat transfer [Btu] between tank and surroundings (magnitude and direction) during process
