Indeed, no man or woman is perfect. In that case, I think that the person must take no special/unique treatment as compared to other new Christians. To be able to help the person follow the teachings of God, I think we need first to let him accept that he is a human person, that he commits mistakes. Recall that God is forgiving, yet still, one must work to be able to deserve the forgiveness.
