The reason the student chose this medical diagnosis is because she had a couple of patients who have been diagnosed with preeclampsia duringtheir pregnancy. She finds it interesting that preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal morbidity and mortality throughout the world and it is the most common medical complication of pregnancy (Labib & Baha, 2012). The student is also interested to learn more about the pathophysiology of preeclampsia, what are the signs and symptoms, what are the risk factors, how can it affect the baby's health and how is it treated. Her purpose to write this paper is to critique the website preeclampsia.org and she believes the information in the website will be useful in her role as a nurse in the future as when she works in maternity unit.

Themission of the website is to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates due to preeclampsia. The main objectives are to provide education, patient support, raise public awareness, catalyze research and improve the healthcare practice. The main section allows visitors to access information as quickly and easily as possible. For example, on the bottom of the page, visitors can find the following information home, store, login/ join, contact us, privacy policy, disclaimer, community, terms & conditions and partners. The use of graphics and videos act as additional information on the website. There is a significant amount of information that the student believes will be beneficial for her patient.
