Some truck drivers are members of unions. The unions protect the drivers in many ways. The managers the drivers work for must follow certain guidelines, such as seniority and hours of the drivers, before offering work to another driver. If a manager does not follow the guidelines, the driver that should have gotten the work may file a grievance against the manager and get paid the hours they lost out on. Driver A filed a grievance against the manager for not following the guidelines, and got paid for the hours he lost out on. Now this made the manager mad. Now the manager wants to re-arrange some routes so that that driver does not have a route for the end of the week. The manager tells you what he is doing and why.
