Yamada (2008) contends that workplace bullying is an often overlooked practice that is encountered by countless workers today. This bullying actually should be classified as harassment and takes a toll not only on the mental and emotional well-being of the employee but, also, directly effects the individuals family and social relations, job productivity, and overall workforce morale. Often cases of harassment and bullying go unreported and unpunished. What are some steps that organizations can take to curb bullying and encourage reporting of such situations?
