Oliver and Olivia Jackson are new born twins that had some mild complications at birth. At the time of delivery the twins were placed in the NICU for further observation. After two days in the NICU it was determined that the twins were well developed and fairly healthy, with the exception of needing a blood transfusion. The pediatrician in the NICU determined that if the children received a blood transfusion, they would be deemed stable and discharged home to the parents within 2-3 days. The parents Rodger Jackson (24 y/o) and Stephanie Jackson (22 y/o) are married, and have been married for approximately 18 months. Oliver and Olivia are their first children and they have been awaiting their arrival and preparing for them. Stephanie had a great pregnancy with no complications and she and not wait to be mother. She was not expecting twins, but once she and Rodger learned that they were having twins, the immediately took to having two infants at once. Rodger nor Stephanie have ever had any medical issues and both their mothers' report having healthy pregnancies. Rodger and Stephanie are devastated that Olivia and Oliver have been admitted to NICU. They have not the left.
