You have been asked to design a drug that will impair somatic nervous system motor neuron function, specifically to help to immobilize an animal during medical procedures. Come up with a name for your drug and describe its mechanism of action.

- The name of your new drug

- Description of how this drug will work. What region of the motor neuron will it target?

Specifically, how will it inhibit neuron function? In your answer, be sure to include specific information about any channels/transporters or other cellular proteins (or processes) that it may inhibit.

- Information about what major organ(s) is controlled by the somatic nervous system and how an inhibition of the motor branch of the somatic nervous system will result in an immobilization of the animal

- Suggest a way that the effects of this drug can be reversed, so that the animal will be able to resume movement once the medical procedure is over
