Case Study

Coronavirus has claimed the lives of over half a million people worldwide, and this death toll continues to rise rapidly each day. There have been tensions around being able to manage and Implement public health policy with economic and social policy, both locally in Australia and internationally. In the absence of a vaccine, non-clinical preventative measures such as lockdowns have been implemented as the principal means of limiting deaths. However, these measures have caused unprecedented disruption to daily lives and economic activity as well as having enormous social and health impacts. Given this ongoing crisis, various countries have taken on different approaches with different levels of success in managing the health, social and economic impacts of the COVID crisis.
