Social Entrepreneurship Marketing Idea
• Identify a World Problem – water, health, hunger, education, etc.
• Identify a Customer Base at the bottom of the pyramid (BoP) that is impacted by this problem
• Make some assumptions about the needs of the customers
– What they want in the product or service
– What will make their lives better
– What will give them dignity and control in their lives
• Involve the support of NGO or Nonprofits that currently exist to help your strategy. (Combine business with nonprofit)
• Use the 4 A’s to determine how you will make your customers
– Aware that your product exists (technology, existing communication channels, sales teams etc.)
– Make it Accessible in the country (how will you make it reachable for them?)
– Make is Affordable for them to purchase (small size, micro-lending, etc)
– Make it Available in the Areas most needed
– With your product or service create jobs, education, etc. in a developing community for your Triple Bottom Line (People, Planet & Profit)
• This Idea must be Scalable – You must be able to repeat it in another Country in order to make and do the most good.
