Social contract theory establishes an unwritten contract between citizens.

The contract mandates that each citizen under the social contract must obey the laws agreed upon by society. If you, as a citizen bound by the social contact, is convicted of committing a crime, then you must agree to submit to society's judgment and pay your penalty (whether through fines or incarceration). Consider the following scenario. You were arrested, charged, tried, and convicted of a crime (it doesn't matter which crime in this thought experiment) but you are innocent and did not commit this crime. A jury trial was held and you were convicted and sentenced to six years in prison.

Discuss whether it would be morally permissible to flee the country to avoid prison. Use appropriate textual evidence to support your description.
