SOC2276 - Sexuality - Lethbridge College
The purpose of this assignment requires each student to answer one of the following:
Research Questions/Statements:
1. Attraction, Love, and Communications (Module 6): Describe and compare issues of attraction, love, and communication between men and women.
2. Gender and Sexual Orientation (Modules 7 & 8): Analyze different aspects of gender or sexual orientation, by comparing differences between males and females from a cross- cultural perspective, or the life experiences and challenges experienced by gays, lesbians and bisexuals.
3. Variations in Sexual Behavior (Module 9): Describe the diversity of sexual variations from the perspective of the normal-abnormal continuum.
4. Sexual Coercion (Module 10): Analyze the different types of sexual coercion including, causes, effects, and treatments.
5. Sex for Sale (Module 11): Analyze the issues surrounding different types of commercial sex including the characteristics of the consumers and providers.
6. Sexuality Education (Module 12): Describe the challenges of sexuality education today including evidence of its effectiveness.
There are 2 components to the major written assignment:
1. A presentation to the class as part of a larger group panel discussion presentation, and
2. A written paper of 4-5 pages (minimum), due on the day that you present
