The program we will develop will help to address clinical needs for the homeless population in Warren County, Kentucky. According to the 2022 K Count, there are 130 homeless people in Warren County. Therefore, this population may have several different clinical needs. The K count shows that the majority of the homeless population in Warren County are over the age of 25. However, there are 26 people that are under the age of 17. Poverty, educational attainment, and social injustices all make it incredibly hard for homeless populations to acquire the resources they need to be healthy. Homeless populations are largely marginalized and society tends to look down upon them and exclude them. Our program wants to help reach out and provide preventive measures so the homeless population can be protected and informed about certain health issues.
